  ASCD is an international, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that represents educators from the United States and other countries. ASCD publishes many materials which can be purchased from their online store.

• Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning - McREL
  McREL is a nationally recognized, private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving education for all through applied research, product development, and service.

• What Works in Schools online survey
  Thirty-five years of education research have identified 11 factors that have the greatest effect on student achievement. Districts and schools can purchase access to an online survey based on those factors. The results of the survey can be used to develop a customized improvement program.

• Re-Inventing Schools Coalition - (RISC)
  Co-founded by Richard DeLorenzo, former Superintendent of Chugach School District, RISC is helping other districts make systemic change using research-based methods. In 2001, Chugach won a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for creating a successful performance system using input from schools, communities, and businesses and for allowing all students to meet with success and take ownership of their educational careers. Since then, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has provided funding to RISC, as well as the Rasmuson Foundation, to replicate components of the RISC Model for others. RISC is a non-profit foundation interested in networking, collaborating and helping all agencies and organizations utilize best practices in order to serve all students.
