Dr. Marzano's book Classroom Assessment and
Grading that Work (ASCD, 2006) contains a chapter describing The
Pinnacle Plus system developed by Excelsior. Where can I get
more information?
In
Classroom Assessment and Grading
that Work
(ASCD,
2006),
Dr. Marzano describes three characteristics of a software system
that would be amenable to the use of formative assessments as
described in the book. The Pinnacle Plus system designed by
Excelsior Software exemplifies these characteristics. This recommendation supersedes any made in
Transforming Classroom Grading (ASCD, 2000). Since 2001,
Dr. Marzano has worked with Excelsior Software on developing
their grade book software.

My Internet browser would not open one of the links, what
can I do?
While every effort is made to provide direct links to a specific book, the
publisher may redesign its web site at any time causing a link error. If this
happens, please visit the publisher's web site using one of the
links provided on this page and perform a search for the desired
publication.
We would greatly appreciate your help in restoring any broken links. Please
email our
with information about the book or resource you were trying to
access.

What happens if I click on "open" instead of "save" after
clicking on the PowerPoint links?
Choosing the "open" file option will cause your browser
software to attempt to open the presentation directly inside a
browser window. This may not be a problem for the smaller
presentation files, however for the "What Works in Schools" file, it
may appear like the browser is "hanging" or doing nothing while
the file is being downloaded for temporary viewing. For this
reason, we recommend saving all presentation files to your local
computer.
[top]
When I click on the PowerPoint links my browser software
tries to open the file automatically, what should I do?
If this happens you can stop the page from loading and come
back to this page. Using the right mouse button (Windows only)
select "save target as" to download the file to your computer.

Can I use some or all of the slides in your PowerPoint
presentations?
