K. Doty, an international trainer and author, is
a consultant for Marzano & Associates with
nearly 20 years of experience as an educator in
New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, Florida,
and Texas. She is co-author of several works
including:
Jane is also author of a new book,
Pathfinder: Reading for Meaning, Purpose, and Inspiration,
focused on reading skills that is based on the Pathfinder
Project. Both Pathfinder books can be found on the Pathfinder

Jane has worked with
Mid-continent Research for Education and
Learning (McREL) for 5½ years where she was
a Principal Consultant. She consults with school
districts to assist them in the process of
aligning standards and benchmarks, developing
curriculum units, and training educators in
Dimensions of Learning,
Classroom Instruction That Works,
Teaching Reading in the Content Areas,
What Works in Schools,
Vocabulary Instruction that Works,
The Art and Science of Teaching, and
The Pathfinder Project.
Additionally, Jane has worked
on educational projects with Disney, ABC and
PBS. She also received a commendation from the
Governor of Indiana for her work with educators
in the Indiana TOPHAT Consortia. Jane received her B.S. degree in Elementary
Education from Keuka College, her M.S. degree in
Gifted Education from the State University of
New York at Plattsburgh, and her Certificate of
Advanced Study (CAS) in Educational Administration
from the State University of New York at Oswego.
